  • Roles and Responsibilities:
  • The Global Commodity Manager is the primary driver of the commodity strategic/tactical implementation within FRIWO.
  • He/She is responsible for his commodity (support plants & design centers).


  • Job Duties:


  • Develops strategic sourcing direction for the commodity and builds the Supplier. Orientation Chart with all the stakeholders of the commodity (increased focus on NPI relative to past performance).
  • Develops a solid working knowledge of certain commodity trends including: industry trends, cost drivers, global pricing, material lead times, and technical/manufacturing processes.
  • Support all key supplier sourcing/selection activities for his commodity with the NPI teams.
  • Ensures the long term competitiveness of the solutions used in Friwo.
  • Drive Supply Base Optimization @ Manufacturer level & Supply Level.
  • Ensures that supply base meets technical requirements and innovation objectives.       
  • Leads several Global negotiations for his commodity, is responsible for final resolution of all contractual agreements, and ensures effective price implementation.
  • Owns/reports Logistic/Quality KPI of suppliers and ensure action plans are in place for most impacting suppliers. Supports the critical crisis (Quality, shortages…) resolution.
  • Lead supplier quarterly business review with all A suppliers (QBR).
  • Develops costs models & cost analysis.
  • Updates stakeholders on suppliers, industry trends and issues. Provides relevant market analysis (Strategic – Financial…). Shares the key commodity informations with technical and purchasing teams during regular coreteams.
  • Use data analysis to drive continuous improvement and deliver savings to the business.

  • Experience:
  • Experience: At least 4 years
  • Demonstrated knowledge and solid understanding of Metal parts commodities.
  • English: Proficiency in the English languages is required. 
  • With advanced skills in Purchasing & Procurement Management, Vendor Management, and Negotiation

  • Job Summary
  • Ensure efficient operations through careful coordination of Materials and Manufacturing efforts, providing Purchasing, Planning, and Manufacturing timely and accurate information with focus on developing production schedules and priorities to meet overall Planning objectives.
  • Job Duties:
  • Identify production outputs in timely manner.
  • Understand the fundamentals and principles of MRP.
  • Isolate and resolve with buyers potential or realized material issues/shortages
  • Communicate timely and accurate material or production issues that affect ability to meet the Master Schedule or that affect current scheduled production activities
  • Check required cross functional Build Readiness meetings to ensure new assembly production and/or implementation of ECN/ECO is achievable and in-line with the Master Schedule
  • Create and publish production schedules governing the execution of planned manufacturing activities.
  • Utilize reporting functionality of specific ERP system. Eg. Ship Status reports, Stock Overviews, Material Movements.
  • Focus on optimization of run quantities, minimum changeover, and achievement of 100% On Time Delivery.


  • Education Required
    • BA in Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
  • Experience Required
    • 2 – 3 years’ experience in materials management related field.
  • Knowledge Required
    • Clearly understand new and current Materials department tools and processes.
    • Continually evaluate the current processes and tools to determine their ability to meet the department’s business needs.
    • Establish and maintain an effective training and facilitation schedule for both new and existing processes.
    • Develop and facilitate specialized training as needed.


  • Skill Requirements
  • Advanced PC skills, with emphasis on spreadsheet skills and ERP/MRP experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytic, project management and applied statistical skills.
  • Strong problem solving, negotiation skills are a must.
  • Ability to effectively and professionally work under pressure, in a team oriented environment, with frequent changes in deadlines and priorities

Your profile

  • Degree in computer science or  successful training as IT specialist in application development  
  • 3 years of professional experience in a manufacturing company
  • PLSQL and Java programming experience
  • d3 experience/Experience in ERP applications
